Safecircles explanationThe tolerance window is the central mechanism in the Ark for visualizing psychological safety. It is defined as a green area around the team average, whose width specifies a fixed safety interval (e.g., ±16 points). This area marks which differences in mutual perception are considered safe and acceptable. The desirable team sweet spot is that interval in which the maximum number of psychologically safe circles emerges – i.e., stable connections in which difficult topics can also be discussed openly. A window that is too narrow leads to stress and defensive reactions, as even small deviations are perceived as threats. A tolerance window that is too wide, on the other hand, can indicate problematic uniformity: There is a lack of necessary, challenging perspectives, which can lead to groupthink and rigid dynamics. The goal is thus balance – a group tolerance window that provides security without stifling learning processes. [[ getPlayerDetails(selectedPlayer).circleCount ]]

How to proceed ?

Brainstorming breeding ground for the question: What can we do from tomorrow onwards to contribute to more psychological safety?
